Can I turn off my lights when there has been no recent motion detected?

Yes, each Tewke Tap features a mmWave radar sensor designed to precisely detect movement in your room.

Yes, each Tewke Tap features a mmWave radar sensor designed to precisely detect movement in your room.

Using the Automations feature in the Tewke app, you can set your lights to turn on automatically when someone enters the room, and have them turn off again after a set number of minutes with no activity.

You can make this even more efficient by combining motion detection with Tap’s built-in ambient light sensor. This ensures your lights only trigger when someone walks into a dark room, saving energy by keeping them off if there is already plenty of natural daylight.

Tap also uses this motion sensor to control its own display. The screen will automatically wake up as you approach and turn off when the room is empty. You can configure specific "near" and "far" distance thresholds so the screen doesn't wake up unnecessarily if you are just walking past at a distance.
